LaPorte New Church

Pastoral Messages (Sermons)

Hello and thank you for browsing through our pages!

In this page you will find samples of some of my weekly pastoral messages or sermons I have given to our congregation, which I hope will add to your lifelong journey with God and your ongoing experience of spiritual growth. I am aware that each person’s journey and relationship with the Lord is unique, and yet there are also many places of connection we share, as sisters and brothers in Christ.

May your pilgrimage of ongoing spiritual growth and development move forward in the Lord’s loving and wise guidance and care May His Word shine Divine Light upon your path. For He is always with us, giving us all of the warmth, truth and insight we need to overcome our selfish inclinations we all inherit from ancient times. There are many challenges we face, and our church stands as a witness to the Lord’s great care for every one of us, regardless of our failures and mistakes–for He is always loving and merciful, and in Him we find deep rest, healing and peace. May these spiritual reflections be a part of the many resources God provides for you, as you journey onward into the Promised Land of spiritual wisdom.

The Lord said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.” (John 14:15, 21)  The Apostle James wrote so well, “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.” (James 2:14, 26)

May the Lord continue to shepherd you always, in His Spirit of loving wisdom, as you live a life of caring service and usefulness.

~Rev. Kit
